How to color pick from an image?

This only applies if you use Google Chrome as your default browser. *Scroll down for alternative desktop apps.

To download the color pick eyedropper, open Google Chrome and type ColorPick Eyedropper in the browser. Next, click Add to Chrome.

Follow the prompts.

The ColorPick Eyedropper icon is added to the top right of your Google Chrome browser.

Next, open up your cookbook template. Click the ColorPick Eyedropper symbol top right. As you hover over the image with the picker a floating magnifying box will appear. The center of the box is where the picker will select the color. Click to select.

A smaller box will appear on the page showing a color swatch of the Hex Code. Highlight and copy the Hex Code. Next, select Ctrl X (Command for Mac users) to exit so the box disappears.

Create a blank page by selecting the +plus symbol in the tool bar. Click on the thumbnail so it highlights yellow. Right-click the thumbnail and select Choose a background. Click the Color dropdown background so the color chart appears.

Click Custom. Paste the Hex Code and press OK.
